ROOF INSURANCECLAIM HELP IN ST. LOUIS

Expert damage documentation. Detailed estimates. On-site adjuster coordination. We help St. Louis homeowners through every step.

Don't face the insurance process alone. Trustman Roofing helps St. Louis homeowners get their storm-damaged roofs properly documented, estimated, and restored.

The Claim Process

1. Free Roof Inspection

We climb on your roof, examine every component, and identify all damage — including what's not visible from the ground. No cost, no obligation.

2. Damage Documentation

We photograph every area of damage — hail impacts, flashing, pipe boots, vents, gutters. Measurements, damage type, and a professional report to support your claim.

3. Detailed Contractor Estimate

Line-item estimate using Xactimate pricing — the same software your insurance company uses. Materials, labor, equipment, and code upgrades all documented.

4. File Your Claim

Contact your insurance company to file. You'll get a claim number and an adjuster inspection date. File promptly — most policies have a deadline.

5. On-Site Adjuster Meeting

A Trustman rep meets your adjuster on the roof, walks them through every area of documented damage, and answers their questions. Nothing gets overlooked.

6. Supplements (If Needed)

If items are missed in the initial estimate, we submit contractor supplement documentation — additional line items with photos and measurements. Supplements are a normal part of the process.

7. Roof Restored

Once approved, we install your new roof to manufacturer specs and local building codes. Full replacement done right the first time.

ACV vs. RCV: Your Insurance Payout

ACV — Actual Cash Value

The depreciated value of your roof. Your first check is typically based on ACV minus your deductible.

RCV — Replacement Cost Value

The full cost to replace your roof with new materials. Most policies pay the remaining depreciation after the work is completed.

Complete your roof replacement within your policy's timeframe to recover the full depreciation amount. This second payment brings your total reimbursement to the full replacement cost minus your deductible.

Items Adjusters Commonly Miss

Starter Strip

Essential for wind resistance along eaves and rakes

Ice & Water Shield

Required by code in valleys, eaves, and penetrations

Drip Edge

Metal flashing required by building code on new installs

Step Flashing

L-shaped metal where roof meets walls and dormers

Pipe Boots

Rubber/metal boots around plumbing vents — crack from hail

Overhead & Profit

Standard for multi-trade jobs — often omitted initially

Ridge Cap Shingles

Specialty shingles along the ridge — frequently damaged

Ventilation

Ridge vents, box vents, turbines damaged during storms

We document every item so nothing falls through the cracks. Our detailed supplements give your insurance company the information they need.

Estimate Too Low?

Initial insurance estimates often come in lower than the actual cost. This doesn't mean your claim is denied — it usually means items were missed.

We prepare detailed contractor supplement documentation identifying missing items with supporting photos and measurements. Supplements are standard — insurance companies expect them.
